This and That

This has been a record week.
  • A brilliant young man named Barack Obama was elected to become the 44th President of the UNITED States of America. So many lessons to be learned. A great campaign, community involvement, the power of the Internet, a little money from allot of people goes along way, perseverance. He won't change things we will.
  • The Nubian Dreams Cruise I Reunion Party - Charles Sims, talked during the cruise about the importance of promoting the NDC2 cruise in small groups. Letting NDCI cruise guests be our ambassadors, spreading the word. Charles didn't just talk the talk...he walked the walk and opened his home to 4o people who came, saw, and many signed up for the next one. The food was excellent, the drinks were plentiful (thanks guests), the apartment was beautiful and again the guests were wonderful. Thanks again Charles.
  • The Nubian Dreams Cruise I video, produced by Motionphics Studios, was completed and was scheduled to be shown during the Reunion event, however, the A/V duplication house had problems and couldn't deliver on time. They are being shipped tomorrow. Derron did a wonderful cut and I am sure people will love it. We hope that everyone will order one and not bootleg them. He is a small businessman. Remember Obama and order today by sending a email to motionphics@gmail.com or call 912-604-6348

  • Proposition 8 was passed in several states. Wow. Read up and write someone. On the same day we elected the first African American President of the USA the rights of LGBT people were snatched away. Amazing. So many African Americans voted for this proposition it is time to make our views known. If we can't have our rights then you can't get our money. That goes for churches too in my humble opinion. For a different perspective on this issue read Keith Boykin's Daily Voice and Jasmyne Cannick's Blog.
  • Time to get on board the next Nubian Dreams Cruise 2. Did you know that this cruise will cost you about $6.00 a day if you start saving from today. We need just $250.00 down payment which will lock down the price(based on double occupancy) of which only $150.00 is non-refundable. Why wait? The price will increase soon.
  • The Nubian Dreams website continues to grow. Thankfully more pictures are added daily, more people are coming aboard, news feeds keep you informed on what's happening in our community. Join the Nubian Dreams movement. Become a member of our website.
Remember if you get the email notice to click the blog link for full entry and pictures.
